Single - Witchi Tai To

Play 90 second soundbite of 'Witchi Tai To (Radio Edit)' @ 'CD quality'

'Witchi Tai To' is one of the annoyingly, monstrously catchy songs that seem to crop up during the summer months. As commercial as soft toilet tissue but gentler on the ear than the arse it's got 'summer hit' written all over it.

Featuring the sugary vocals of the Polyphonic Spree's Tim De Laughter, 'Witchi Tai To' is one of those songs that, once you hear it, you'll remember where and when you heard it. Yep, it's one of those. One of those that'll spawn a whole new dance craze and be played by party DJ's for years to come. And, here there's no less than six versions of the damn thing to suit just about any kinda party goin'; from Granny's birthday to yer best friends wedding to boozy, laser lit dance floor skirmishes and tiny tots' high chair parties and everything in between (apart from maybe the mosh pit!). I'm sure you could name many forerunners of this ilk that're true stayers and repeaters - just add 'Witchi Tai To' by X-Press 2 to the list.

Evidently, 'Witchi Tai To' was written in the 1950's by native Kaw Indian, Jim Pepper and it's based on a traditional Kaw Indian chant - say no more then! The song was first covered by 60's popsters Harpers Bizarre but X-Press 2 have given it their own treatment (well, several treatments actually!) and the choice of De Laughter as vocalist was truly inspired.

Oh, there is also another track included here - just to show willing, 'Don't Make Me Wait' is a punchy, electro dance chune; once more chock-full of all the right ingredients to become a big favourite in the night clubs. Massively catchy and with loads of repetitive beats to get down to and loose yourself in. Tidy work it is too!

Not much more to be said other than I'm sure you'll be hearing 'Witchi Tai To' by X-Press 2 somewhere, sometime shortly.. and again...and again....etc!!
