Seriously, Valeriya is timing her attack on the UK chart just about right - we need something to wake us up at the moment; winter was pretty lousy, spring is crap and summer probably won't be much better - so, that's where Valeriya comes in - she'll blow away the cobwebs and you'll start to feel rejuvenated, re-invigorated, re-made and re-modelled. This is one big voice and by the sounds of it, one big personality!! This beautiful blonde belies her size with a voice that's bigger than most and a pop potential that's equally massive. Three versions grace this single; 'album version', 'remix edit' and 'remix full length' - and, once again and against my principals, I have to admit that I can see why she's going down the 'versions' route - at least she's got most of the market-place covered. But, the 'album version', for me, is still the best version - it's got everything it needs to 'go global' and I think it works just as it is. However, the 'mixes' do score within the speciality market-place and so yes, they're gonna work in the pubs and clubs and anywhere there's room to dance really! But, for me the 'album version' does the 'biz' just as it is - it's big, bold, brash, ballsy and basically brilliant!!
'The Party's Over' by Valeriya is one of those 'stand-out' songs that you'll hear once and remember it. It's got fantastic commercial possibilities and should see Valeriya breaking into the UK pop music scene. Big song, big voice - bloody big chance of being a timeless party hit - faultless stuff targeted just right!!
