Sorry Boyz, but I have to make a comparison here - Lieutenant Pigeon! Now that's not being flippant or cruel - it's just that the Pigeons had a massive UK hit with their 'unique' thing. It romped up the charts and you can still hear it played every so often. Now, Torpedo Boyz have captured something very similar here. They've come up with a work that has instant appeal, albeit slightly zany. They've brought together their combined skills and totally hit the mark. I can see this being a massive hit on the club scene and they're not gonna be simply 'one hit wonders' - their track record already shows that.
Are these guys really serious? Well, yes they are; they've already made a massive impression in Europe and now intend to conquer the rest of the World. Watch out, if this is anything to go by and the radio stations pick up on it, you're soon gonna be 'Torpedoed'! These Boyz are new to me and this aint exactly my bag, but from what I hear and read, Torpedo Boyz are out there just ready to pounce. You've been warned so either take cover or be prepared for an aural barrage from what sounds like a very competent and entertaining "cult club duo".
You may get a chance to hear this sooner than you'd expect because it been chosen for an advert for Cheerios - and I can see why!! 'Any Trash Professor Abacus?' is rabidly infectious, hugely entertaining and just has something very special - ok, 'unique'!
