Tim Arnold

CD - Another World

Play 90 second soundbite of 'Another World' @ 'CD quality'

In his press pack singer/songwriter Tim Arnold makes a big point about his love of 'orchestral' music and his long standing wish to make the best album within its genre. 'Another World', surely, must come bloody close to fulfilling his ambition.

'Another World' is nothing short of beautiful! Ok, comparisons will be made; Damian Rice, James Blunt, Newton Faulkner and probably several more. That's fine, comparisons act as a catalyst to awaken the moment and get new people listening and looking out for a new name. However, in the case of Tim Arnold, this guys got all it takes to make it completely unaided by predecessors or contemporaries. Certainly, 'Another World' is as strong and convincing as anything I can think of that's already been discovered and become successful!

Arnold is quite obviously a great wordsmith and impressive composer - his musical vision has been extremely successfully burned onto the current popular medium of compact disc and I'm convinced that his journey will start in earnest now. 'Another World' is completely self financed and home produced and Arnold has drawn on the stunning musical prowess of several, very influential and well respected musicians to help him achieve the precision and emotion that his songs deserve. Together, Arnold and friends have worked wonders and come up with a sublime piece of modern 'acoustic'/orchestrated magic. Listening to 'Another World' is like going on a long awaited journey to somewhere peaceful and enlightening; the journey is exciting and as the trip evolves and unfolds the excitement builds and the expectation increases - the journey ends as the dying chords fade from the last track and the reality of where you are actually hits home. There's nothing else for it, 'Another World' just has to be revisited - if only to find out whether it really was as good as you thought - it was!!!

Tim Arnold has created something very special with 'Another World'. It will be available from October 9th on iTunes, 7 digital and will also be one of the first albums to be released by Peter Gabriel's new ad's revenue supported label, We7. Not bad for starters, eh?

Tim Arnold is casting himself headlong into an area that's been rich with great talent for the last few years - I can't see any reason why Tim Arnold, with 'Another World', shouldn't join the ranks of the rich and famous - certainly, 'Another World' is on a par with anything that those already established have thus far released. Truly excellent!!!!
