The Worries

Take It Easy EP

Play 90 second soundbite of 'All Fall Down' @ 'CD quality'

This is an interesting coming together under the general heading of a 'Red Bean Team' and in the guise of The Worries! 'Take It Easy' is their debut release and comprises four really pungent sounding ditties that rock, roll, clatter and pop as they pound along with well regulated shock and awe.

Pete Adams' adaptive and likeable vocal qualities are put to great use here - I don't know of many singists that could cope with the transitions required within and without the songs (Ugh?). T'umpin' bass is laid down by Donald Worry who is assisted and supported by pace-setter Joe Singh on skins. 'Mr.Bean' provides guitars and 'The Red Bean Team' provide 'other embellishments' - together they make The Worries, together they make a damn fine noise! Great fun but also demonstrating solid professionalism and well honed adaptability - tasty songs performed beautifully!

'Take It Easy' fills all the spaces that other bands fail to fill - if variety is the spice of life then listen to The Worries with an open mind and tight buttocks coz music is the food of love so prepare for indigestion! The Worries churn out their cheeky wares with a well practiced vibrancy and, I'm guessing now, a smile on their collective faces - this EP sounds like it was fun to make and their sense of enjoyment oozes from the speakers and adds to the contagious nature of the music. The Worries sound like a collective that's gonna have fun making music no matter what the topic or source of the song - just like it should be!!

Four tracks, four chances - four workers, four winners!! The Worries have managed to capture a 'moment' and make it available for anyone and everyone here. 'Take It Easy' is music created and played in the spirit of the 'moment' - The Worries exude confidence and their collective enjoyment and shared humour of that creative 'moment' is obvious to hear - The Worries manage to pass on that emotion, that sense of camaraderie and ribald humour through their music. I can see some mileage in this collective - particularly with the student fraternity who like a bit of fun with their music. Great stuff - catchy as fuck, great potential - who said 'supergroups' were a thing of the past?
