The Tyke Tyler Band

Demo

Play 90 second soundbite of 'Buy Me A Plane' @ 'CD quality'

Crackin' demo!! Boy this outfit know how to rock! This may not be the best production I've ever heard but The Tyke Tyler Band make up for that with a pretty sensational performance.

Three make the 'noise' of five here; yes, just a three-piece but a three-piece that know how to make it work. The Tyke Tyler Band blast out their high energy songs with massive unity and more balls than a football team. But, they're not simply a one trick pony, The Tyke Tyler Band can do low and heartfelt too as witnessed here with the brilliant track 'The Dance'. But, I get the impression that The Tyke Tyler Band generally run on rocket fuel and like to give it out big and strong - and they certainly do that!! If you don't believe me then you need to listen to the tracks 'Shops And Houses', 'Buy Me A Plane', 'Daisy May' and 'Shoot Them Down'.

The Tyke Tyler Band don't actually take their music to anywhere new, it's just that they deliver it with such force and commitment. This demo does exactly what it's supposed to - it provides a door into The Tyke Tyler Band's rockin' world and tells anyone that listens that The Tyke Tyler Band are exciting and totally together. Certainly I can't fault this demo; it's got everything you could want from a band that sit astride indie and rock music. The Tyke Tyler Band comprise Brian McCrossan (guitars, vocals), Richard Herity (drums) and Martin Kinneavy (bass, vocals) and together they sound like they're on a mission to convert the world to Tyke Tyler fans. Wow, it's good though!

The Tyke Tyler Band get it absolutely right here; better production might have deadened the blow a bit too much and this slightly raw edged assault is probably right in this instance - The Tyke Tyler Band keep it feeling live and alive and therefore keep it very real - great stuff this!!
