The Pocket Gods

Single - Crazy Hospital Boy / Vvbud

Play 90 second soundbite of 'Crazy Hospital Boy' @ 'CD quality'

The prolific (and that's an understatement!) music making machine that are The Pocket Gods are at it again; 'Crazy Hospital Boy' is a slow rocker with just the occasional hint of reggae - it's a cool worker and quite typical of the more recent output from these manic maniacs of pop-rock.

The Pocket Gods just don't ever seem to go into musical hibernation; seemingly, these rock experimentalists don't need time to regenerate or reenergise themselves - The Pocket Gods just keep coming up with new material, are constantly reinventing themselves and appear to grow in strength and self-belief with every release. 'Crazy Hospital Boy' is The Gods through and through; a 'grubby' lo-fi grinder that's both moody and invigorating at the same time. The Pocket Gods seem to be totally irrepressible and completely focussed on world domination - well maybe that's going a bit far but, I really believe that The Pocket Gods are setting their musical sights pretty high and don't intend to back off for one moment.

'Crazy Hospital Boy' is accompanied here by an even 'dirtier', up-tempo rockster in the form of 'Vvbud' - with its fifties guitar sound and in-yer-face aggression, it's raw, scarily insane and massively honest. There's not really much more to say about this release other than to reiterate the fact that The Pocket Gods are comin' to get yer - they've had great radio exposure over the last couple of years and that's only fuelled their insatiable tanks further - The Pocket Gods aint gonna go away so you might as well surrender to their onslaught and give 'em a go!!
