The Neon Altar

Single - Killer

Play 90 second soundbite of 'Killer' @ 'CD quality'

As The Neon Altar's 'Killer' pounds out from the speakers it kinda reminds one of early Queen with a bit of The Darkness modernity mixed in; it's a heavy, bordering on colossal sound born out of a high density rhythmic barrage, angular guitar riffs and great vocal work.

The somewhat chunky and often laboured vocal melody line bites hard into your mind, takes out chunks of brain tissue and replaces it with Neon Altar memorabilia - this bugger just keeps repeating on yer!!

There's nothing totally new about the Neon Altar sound but, what they're doin' is done extremely well! This is a song that doesn't so much flow as jerk; it's thumpin', it's chuggin', it's like a slow avalanche of big boulders coming at you one at a time rather than all at once! Nothing too clever, nothing too adventurous, 'Killer' just gets the job done easy-peasy!! It's a really bright and pretty memorable work - you'll hear it once and even if you don't completely remember it you'll recognise it next time you hear it!

'Killer' by The Neon Altar is a quite quirky little rocker with something special about it; it's kinda familiarly unfamiliar and it works all day long - great song, hefty sounding outfit!!
