Not only is the title of this single non-radio-friendly, it's probably also a sentiment many of you have experienced at some time or another, 'Fuck The Bass Player'!

The Inspector Cluzo is outrageously diverse French duo Laurent Lacrouts and Mathieu Jourdain. The two are joined here by a selection of 'friends' in order to come up with this extraordinarily great sound. A coming together of modern genre to form one unpigeonholeable stylee that's vibrant, exciting and enthralling. Taking the listener on a trip through rock, jazz, soul and funk, The Inspector Cluzo lay down a massively diverse but exceptionally intriguing sound. Obviously, the single, 'Fuck The Bass Player' won't be getting too much air-time and so it may be up to any of the other three tracks here to stand as banner waver to pull in the crowds.

Opening with the rockin' 'Mad' and straight away The Inspector Cluzo appear to be giving out their message clear and loud - big rock riffs vie with rap interjections as the catchy, beaty and beefy backdrop continues to rock out. But no, The Inspector Cluzo aint that predictable! The title track finds the guys in ebullient, playful mood; 'Fuck The Bass Player' is rammed with expletives and great punchy grooves - this is a funked-up jazz tinged rock piece with a light edge in the lyrics department - clever but commercial suicide! 'Two Days' is an up-tempo funky number; a touch of the Run DMC's here - rap again meets rock but The Inspector Cluzo still manage to inject a touch of jazz and some real retro soul wailing. 'Do You Make it Right' brings this party to a close - an American-esque funky soul vibe here with an incessant rockin' groove running through its heart courtesy of some sweet guitar work.

'Fuck The Bass Player' by The Inspector Cluzo is as varied as it is risky - its diversity might prove to be just too much for some people but by the same token that diversity could be just what makes The Inspector Cluzo an interesting proposition. The dynamic duo certainly know how to keep the listener guessing and they certainly know how to perform musical alchemy by bridging quite wide musical gaps to make a smooth transitional pathway through genre-crushing heaven. A great sound, a great vibe - radio stations beware, don't make the mistake of playing the title track - you might live to regret your choice!!
