The Grit - punk rock'n'roll of the highest degree. That's simply what this excellent work gives the listener. This aint rockabilly. It's not psychobilly. It's just heavily punk edged rock'n'roll - simple as that. Not my usual 'beverage of choice' I'll have you know. But, this is awesome!! The cover tells me briefly about the band members but absolutely nothing about the tracks. Is that weird? Or, is it me? Anyway as I write I'm six tracks in and I haven't heard anything I don't like thus far.

These guys are just shit-hot! That's all I know for sure! A bit of web-surfing and I see that they mention The Clash, The Sex Pistols and The Stray Cats amongst their influences. Well, that makes sense 'cause that's just about how I'd sum up The Grit - a massive head-on collision of those exact three bands resulting in a superbly re-made and re-modelled, up-front and in-yer-face, hard edged, punk'n'roll outfit laying down stormin' material for all their worth!

Impressed? Yes indeed I am! These guys are superb and this whole twelve track release is simply awesome, stunning, outrageously good! OK, I've already said that this aint my bag but if there were more bands playing this stuff to this standard then I'd readily become a true convert. With this album The Grit have injected an seriously infectious dose of high octane punk rock'n'roll into my head and it's starting to have a major effect on my sensibility and musical outlook.

Pure brilliance!!!
