'Sick Of It' is a power-house of a pop song - it belts along at a frantic but composed million miles an hour. It's short to the point of being succinct and it just gets the job done with massive, adrenalin fuelled efficiency. Likened variously to Blondie, Garbage, Pixies and Elastica, The Favours are defo in that general stylee but with a distinctly modernistic edge and full-on rave-ability.
The Favours certainly have the bit between their teeth and they're really goin' for it here - 'Sick Of It' may be short and to the point but it's grubbily sumptuous and totally rocked-up. Turn this big-boy up loud and just feel the energy that The Favours pour into their work.
'Sick Of It' is pretty commercial by any normal standards and, given the right exposure, should see a good return on investment for The Favours. It may not be a massive hit as it goes somewhat against the current chart flow of things but, I can see 'Sick Of It' being a prime-mover in The Favours getting themselves established within the realms of the successful and notable.
