The Electric City

Single - Dark Skies

Play 90 second soundbite of 'Dark Skies' @ 'CD quality'

First impressions are always important and 'Dark Skies' by The Electric City hits home quickly and hits hard. It's a punchy and somewhat quirky work reminiscent of Muse with slightly discordant sounding chords, riffs and fills threaded though the big ballsy vocals as the gutsy rhythm section lay down their impressively tight and expressive foundations.

'Dark Skies' has all the hallmarks of what makes British pop/rock so bloody good - The Electric City meld anthemic rock choruses with big bold riffs and art-rock eccentricities and the end product is a massive sound that's exhilarating, pretty rock-trendy and globally warming. It has massive potential and, given good promo, should do extremely well for this shit-hot sounding outfit.

'Dark Skies' by the excellent The Electric City is pure, funked-up, rock'n'art with a razor-sharp delivery and well honed rockin' balls! Top notch stuff, very 'now' and surely a winner!!
