Play 90 second soundbite of 'Ghosts Of Rock N Roll' @ 'CD quality'
The Django Black Ensemble seem to have favoured the pacier side of (indie) rock n roll. These works generally fly along. There's a very fresh feel to their style and they're extremely tight and play with a very natural feel. The Django's use of high paced, incessant rhythms results in a very catchy overall effect. The songs are well crafted with guitar and vocal combining beautifully on the melody lines and choruses. Good use of tempo change and subtle light and shade keep things interesting and give them a pretty unique feel. There's no doubt that The Django Black Ensemble have settled nicely into a groove that is sufficiently different to set them apart from most of their contemporaries. It's a great sound that'll get mosh pits heaving with bodies.
Judging from these three short tracks The Django Black Ensemble have found a formula that's just that bit removed from the norm - and I reiterate, what this demo lacks in polish it makes up for in originality of style. This demo will open a few doors, of that I'm confident - if it were to be re-recorded with a top production it would fly through so many more doors and earn The Django Black Ensemble much wider acclaim.
