Play 90 second soundbite of 'You're Drunk You're Sexy' @ 'CD quality'
Often manic sounding, dark and disturbing, but with an overall friendly nature 'You're Drunk...' works itself out very well indeed. The opening melodic vocal 'overture' bleeds out into a frenetically punchy instrumental 'work-out' which itself then makes way for a chunk of hefty manic vocal acrobatics and 'crash-test' experimental outpourings before finishing melodically very much as it started. Superbly crafted with frightening precision and cool originality 'You're Drunk You're Sexy' is a stunning piece of work.
The cape Of good Hope have managed to capture their true musical essence with this great release. It may not be to everybody's liking but it with sure go down well the more musically challengeable out there. It works for me - it'll work for many more.
"....some say that Dias named the Cape 'Cabo Tormentosa' or 'Cape of Storms' and then changed it to 'Cabo de Boa Esperanca' or 'Cape of Good Hope'. The second name was given to please the King of Portugal because rounding the cape gave hope to the riches of the East." Perhaps this stormy musical ride will also bring The Cape Of Good Hope riches from all points of the compass!
