Teedo are very hard to pigeonhole; dance-pop meets glam-rock - think Scissor Sisters meets T Rex and you'll start to get the feel of this superb sounding outfit. This single, 'You Are My Girl', with its aforementioned nuances and influences is fascinating and absorbing - a wonderful modern concoction of sound that fits nowhere in particular but could possibly sit just about anywhere! Grown-up glam-rock, sensible dance-pop, a stunning and quite massive sound that's wholesome, original and extremely pressplayagainable!

When I say fascinating I really mean it; Teedo grab you by the balls and when they've got your attention they just don't let go. 'You Are My Girl' by Teedo may have its retro influences but Teedo don't sound like anybody but, well, Teedo - they've got something very neat and extremely polished goin' on and I can see Teedo making a pretty big name for themselves if 'You Are My Girl' is typical. And, judging by the accompanying tracks, 'Shut The Door On The World' and 'King Of The World', 'You Are My Girl' is real straight-arrow, no-messin', down-the-line Teedo. For good measure they've also included here a 'radio edit' of the 'A' side - good value then? Oh yes!!

The pop world needs bands like Teedo right now - something that's sufficiently different and inspired to shake things up a bit, bring new light to the often dark and dismal tunnel that's 2007 pop music. Massively melodic and scarily different, Teedo bring commercial maturity and creative pop sensibility to the banality-ridden popular music world and it's a pleasure to experience their no-fuss take on radio-friendly pop-rock or whatever it is. Teedo could just be touting their musical wares at exactly the right time; with bands like Scissor Sisters and one or two others bringing some vitality and cheeky pop-ability to our doors, the timing probably couldn't be better for Teedo to take things just one small step further.

'You Are My Girl' by Teedo is great nu-pop; vibrant, fresh, entertaining and inspirational - superb stuff, great to hear, great to feel and great to be around - totally compelling!!
