D&B is not really my thing but even with my basic knowledge of the artform I can tell that TC has chosen well and come up with a massively powerful album here; twenty-five tracks that'll blow away some of the Christmas cobwebs and set things up nicely for a (b)rave new year. Packed with awesomely infectious beats and gargantuan techno-wizardry, 'Watch The Ride' is a punchy and vibrant compilation to rival anything similarly ilked out there.
With nothing alarmingly challenging or experimental but everything sublimely honed and razor-sharp, 'Watch The Ride' is surely great meat and two veg for the dancefloor addicts - a great big feast of churning beats and annoyingly intoxicating rhythms to grind out to. 'Watch The Ride', as a 'sampler' for its genre, is everything you could possibly want or need - it showcases the massive talent that's currently out there on the club scene and entertains and inspires all at the same time. It's a big album of big works that does exactly what it sets out to do!!
Drum-and-bass-aholics and all-round dancefloor groovers alike should look out for this impressive work; 'Watch The Ride' is a massive release within its field - beautifully assembled and lovingly compiled it's a little gem!
