Play 90 second soundbite of 'Baby Jane' @ 'CD quality'

Hey, how'd yer like yer reggae? Try this extraordinary album 'Vanuatu' by Sunshiners for size and I think you'll enjoy the way these guys do it.

Sunshiners have taken twelve British greats and given them their very own sunny, reggae treatment. It's all very uplifting and smile-making; these guys just sound as if they really enjoy what they're doing and their happiness booms out from the speakers and you can't help but fall for it. They make no apologies for the 'covers', no excuses for the treatment. Sunshiners just want you to enjoy their beloved music like they do.

Now, Sunshiners haven't gone down the easy route of just taking reggae standards to do; they've grabbed hold of a surprisingly varied set of 'hits' and given them a real goin' over. The result, as I've already said is just what the band's name suggests - sunshine, no matter what the weather!

Reggae loyalists will no doubt throw a massive wobbly and shout about ruination and plagiarism. The more open-minded will probably shake their heads in disapproval, futilely try to stop their feet tapping before slowly warming to the vibe and coming to the conclusion that this is really good and it's ok to reggae-up such standards. And why not! Nothing wrong here. Not for everyone maybe but it's so hard to put down - this is good-time reggae done with passion and flair.

Sunshiners mean business; this aint no stop-gap, this is what Sunshiners do. This could do really well in holiday resorts and at pool-side chill out sessions. It's easy to listen to whilst being entertaining and relaxing. Actually, I'm quite impressed by it all - and only mildly offended. (And hey, check out the crazy, funky website!)
