Play 90 second soundbite of 'End Of The Road' @ 'CD quality'
Instantly appealing, superbly produced and magnificently performed, 'End Of The Road' is like a cross between the cheeky side of Blur, the rockin' side of Supergrass and the subtly harmonious The Feeling - a great song for the summer - but more than that, a song with longevity - a song for all seasons!
Sunny Day Sets Fire are a cosmopolitan five piece comprising Mauro, Onyee, Max, Ed and Matthew and bring their influences from London via Italy, Hong Kong & Toronto; between them they make great pop music that leans slightly towards indie and rock - but, it's pop that takes the fore. 'End Of The Road' is irritatingly catchy, annoyingly chirpy and monstrously commercial. With tambourine and hand-claps set well behind the main, jangly, infectious instrumentation it refuses to let you sit still. Vocally too things are spot-on; all clean-lines and uncluttered, it allows you to singalongalot and really get into what Sunny Day Sets Fire are doin'.
'End Of The Road' is bright, bouncy and vibrant - a must-be hit for the warmer months to come - a pleasure to behold no matter when or where you hear it. Sunny Day Sets Fire play with a feeling of optimism and warmth; listening to 'End Of The Road' gives you a enveloping feeling of warmth and comfort but still makes yer feet dance around a bit. Included on this excellent single we have a 'radio edit' and 'full length' version of 'End Of The Road' plus another equally impressive number in 'Lack Of View' - the latter only further demonstrating the massively catchy and likeable qualities of the great outfit. Great value - great single!
'End Of The Road' by Sunny Day Set Fire is fantastic, mature, modern pop music. If The Feeling did it for you, take a looksee/listen at/to Sunny Day Sets Fire - you won't be disappointed! Crackin' single form a very impressive sounding outfit.
