Single - Silence On The Radio

Play 90 second soundbite of 'Silence On The Radio' @ 'CD quality'

Who said that punk had its day in the 70's? Rubbish!! Punk lives on and it's bands like Severe Zero that will perpetuate the genre and keep it very much alive and more than a bit kickin'! Here with 'Silence On The Radio', the excellent Severe Zero hone in on the genre once again and give it every last bit of energy and every last wattage available to 'em.

Taken from their forthcoming album, 'Silence On The Radio' is a high tempo but beautifully balance song featuring staccato riffs aplenty, blindin' percussive drive, thumpin' bass work and pained but expressive vocals. What more could a punkish, modern-day rock band wish for? Severe Zero have it all and they use most of it here!

Severe Zero prove that contemporary punk angst and street-wise rockin' mayhem can still be put to good use not just individually but in tandem; here Severe Zero meld the two head bangin' styles with consummate ease and come up with a really tight and massively intoxicating witches brew of a song. As commercial and things at a pound in a pound shop but certainly more worthwhile and definitely having more longevity, Severe Zero deliver their powerhouse, super-charged nu-punk to the world with not one moment's thought for the listener's sanity or well-being - these guys give it out straight, true and 'proper'!

'Silence On The Radio' by Severe Zero is solid, audacious punk-rock for modern times - an electrifying barrage of hard hitting riffs set within an equally solid and rhythmic envelope of hard-core but melodic rock, equal to anything currently out there! Very tasty stuff from Severe Zero - crackin' song, bostin' sound, impressive energy!
