Play 90 second soundbite of 'Blindfolded Bombers' @ 'CD quality'
'The Forcefedlies' is a four track rockin' romp from aforementioned band throughout which Serotonin provide music for the mind and body through the uncompromising use of big riffs, stonkin' melodies, catchy refrains and full-on Brit-rock potency. 'Sorrow' opens with a typical 'big riff' that quickly subsides into one of the many hooky melodies that Serotonin lay down time and time again. It's a track that's continuously punchy but always inoffensive on the ears - a cool ebb and flow of guitar laden rock juxtaposed against silky vocals and harmonies. Cleverly, although guitar driven, the songs remain uncluttered by their presence; there's no big solo's, no-one's ever allowed to run rampant over anyone else - the songs are well proportioned, rounded and beautifully balanced. 'Blindfolded Bombers', 'Forcefedlies' and 'The Way You Make Me Feel' continue the theme as Serotonin ease their way into your brain (a good place for Serotonin to be released into the nervous system then?). Erring on the commercial side of top quality Brit-Rock, Serotonin's general feel is one of a very tight, well honed outfit; they sound as though they've been playing together forever, a fact that belies their relatively young years. All three still in their early twenties, Serotonin rock like well weathered performers.
'The Forcefedlies' is a damn cool introduction to this obviously massively talented trio comprising Chris Pitt - guitars/lead vox, Ian Barnard - drums/backing vox and Matt Morey - bass/backing vox. Four great songs performed with energy and skill that'll surely set Serotonin on the road to recognition and success. Pretty damn good all round!!
