Single - Turn My Head Around

Play 90 second soundbite of 'Turn my Head Around' @ 'CD quality'

'Turn My Head Around' falls one hundred percent into the electronica/dance field. Typically, several (five in fact) versions of 'Turn My Head Around' make up this single release from duo Saved By Zero. There's a 'club mix', 'surreal bar mix', 'popping mix', 'radio edit' and 'instrumental' to get yer teeth into. Each has it's place and appeal to the various units and areas that make up many of today's dance clubs, each stands up on its own, each is capable of pulsing its way into the heads of the dance freaks anywhere.

For me, 'Turn My Head Around', although being effective in its field just tends to sound a little too predictable. At least two of the edits ('club' and 'radio') have a very 80's 'new romantics' vocal element to them. That said, there's no doubting the funky appeal of this work - but it is very targeted and cult oriented. Certainly, this will receive many club plays and specialist radio spins and it'll now doubt do the job it's designed to do. But sadly, that's as far as it goes really.

Saved By Zero seem to have erred on the side of predictable safety rather than speculative innovation or experimentation. This single from Saved By Zero simply does not 'Turn My Head Around' - but hey, there's a whole load of dance freaks and party goers that would totally disagree with me - of that I'm also quite sure.
