Play 90 second soundbite of 'The Rock-It Dogs Stomp' @ 'CD quality'
'Chills, Thrills And Blood Spills' is rammed to overflowing with great, energetic, pogo (or whatever it is) dancing goodies; eleven originals and one extremely impressive cover in 'Teenager In Love' (and not at all as it was originally written or intended!). The album kicks off with an instrumental, 'Riders Of The Surf', which sets the tone nicely; pacey, ballsy and really catchy - you instantly get to feel just what good musicians these boys are.
There's a relentless, adrenalin fuelled power to The Rock-It Dogs music; it's nearly all up-tempo, bordering on breathless. But, The Rock-It Dogs are not a one trick pony; just take a listen to the stunning 'The Damned' with its subtle variations, feel the energy in 'Plasma' and dig the reggae (or should that be ska?) chops of 'Goodbye To You' and you'll see what I mean. Oh yes, The Rock-It dogs can vary things alright! But, there's no real getting away from the fact that The Rock-It Dogs are 'billies' through and through. And, bloody good 'billies' at that - boy can these guys lay down a tune!
'Chills, Thrills And Blood Spills' is a stunning release - great songs, superbly performed, well engineered and produced - a real blast! Great in the home, great in the car and great at a party - truly excellent!
