Revolution

For Lonely Hearts & Rebel Souls - EP

Play 90 second soundbite of 'The Resin Rain' @ 'CD quality'

As the opener 'The Resin Club' gently unfolds it's obvious that Revolution have something special and exciting goin' down! There's a silky smoothness to their approach and a tightness that sounds truly hard-earned. Rockin' in true Brit style Revolution romp through this three tracker of catchy toons with total professionalism. 'The Resin Club' is a stylish piece that draws you in and you quickly find the hook sinking in deep and hard. There's loads of light and shade (in U2 stylee) and their music screams cool quality. 'Urban Child' keeps up the punchy momentum with plenty of aggression and more stinging hooks before making way for the mournful sounding 'Then I Was Alone'. Initially, things are toned down somewhat here as the piece gently builds against a well crafted piano backdrop that slowly lets in kick-ass rhythm work, well balanced guitars and soaring vocals that almost draw blood as the hook sinks deeper in before gently removing the sting by fading almost unnoticed to a end.

Revolution create music that errs on the lighter side of the Oasis thing. The songs are short, well crafted and straight to the point. Revolution leave the listener no choice as Oliver Borrow, James Waller, Rob Newman, Matt Labbett and Steve Pritchard press-gang you into their service. Revolution rock. Revolution roll. Revolution could easily ride roughshod through the land kickin' up a storm with their well honed wares.
