Play 90 second soundbite of 'Remind You (G.D.R.Remix)' @ 'CD quality'
Certainly one for the club goers, 'Remind You - Remix' has a pretty weird affect of on the senses; well, with me it does - it's repetitive vibe and somewhat 'waxy' electro backbeat make me feel slightly dizzy as I listen. I feel weirdly isolated and a bit off kilter somehow! Now if that's what can happen as I sit in my 'office', imagine what the result could be given a hazy dancefloor and an alcohol fuelled body - scary shit!
What's really weird, is that both of the 'remixes' here, 'G.D.R Remix' and 'Recoup PM Remix' tend to have a similar effect even though they are bit like 'chalk and cheese'!! There's something in the way ReCoup compost their dance wares that's doin' the 'damage'; they appear able to create a hypnotic vibe that, although not immediately apparent, just sits within their music and gets into yer brain. Weird!
My dancefloor days were over several years ago but I can still understand how the scene works and what it does to you - especially when you include all the other outside influences associated with the clubbin' scene. Those factors, when you inject something as trance inducing as 'Remind You' by ReCoup, come together to take over the mind and, if you're that way inclined, the body. Surely, ReCoup's 'Remind You - Remix' is gonna get an almighty thumbs-up from the late night revellers and party freaks.
