Radio Rebels

Single - Telescope

Play 90 second soundbite of 'Telescope' @ 'CD quality'

'Telescope' by Radio Rebels is a slow, nu-punk rocker with a slightly retro feel to it. Radio Rebels inject plenty of hooks into the piece and the incessant guitar riff tends to get into yer head. It's a grinder rather than a worker that "tackles the issue of wrecking a long lasting relationship from having accidental sex"!

'Telescope' is pretty simple in form and feel and relies heavily on its casual vocal delivery and 'that' repetitive indie style guitar to render the listener hooked. Bass and drums are solid but nicely unassuming which strengthens the cause of the voice and guitar. Vaguely commercial but perhaps lacking in that 'something special' to stand it out amidst the brooding hoards, for me 'Telescope' is more of a introductory work than a full-on hit.

Now London based Radio Rebels keep it short and pretty sweet; the single is very much to the point and there's no unnecessary 'waffle' to wade through. Although interesting and nicely punchy I don't see 'Telescope' being the fuel to launch Radio Rebels in the UK.
