Play 90 second soundbite of 'Dubois' @ 'CD quality'
Puggy are a trio hailing from Brussels, Sweden and the UK and I'm sure that their various Nationalities and eclectic origins are partly responsible for their wonderfully new take on modern rock music. Certainly, their style is not one that you come across every day - but, once heard it's hard to forget! Refreshingly unfamiliar, nicely original and massively infectious, Puggy have something very, very different and very, very special. Puggy show that good music can be commercial and cultish at the same time.
'Dubois Died Today' is a breath of fresh air by today's standards; overflowing with extremely well written songs that have been carefully constructed and sensitively performed then assembled into a generous lump of modern 'pop' brilliance to waken the senses and reward those prepared to listen. These guys are something else and 'Dubois Died Today' is a fantastic piece of work that deserves to do very well for them. Puggy have already received much praise following multi-national radio plays and impressive TV music channel exposure - and it's easy to see why!
'Dubois Died Today' is quality from start to finish; vocally it's pure class with nothing ever sounding forced or false, instrumentally it's positively sublime and the standard of writing is in a class of its own - one to treasure methinks!
