Single - One More Remix

Play 90 second soundbite of 'One More For The Road (Tech Itch Remix)' @ 'CD quality'

I have to say that I listened to 'One More Remix' by Pink Punk before I read the press blurb - I expected a nu-Blondie punk type thing. What I got, unexpectedly, was hard edged drum & bass.

Not weak-kneed, limp wristed d&b but solid, awesome, grinding d&b to blow yer sox off. And I thought drum & bass had had its day or a least gone off the boil. But, if Pink Punk are anything to go by, drum & bass is alive and extremely bloody well thank you! And, Pink Punk don't take any prisoners - this is stunning stuff. And, I have to say, not normally my kinds thang. But with Pink Punk I might just have to bow to superior knowledge and do a bit of creepin' and crawlin' coz I love this little beauty!!

The press pack, when I finally got around to picking it up, doesn't actually tell me much about Pink Punk; they remain a bit of a mystery - not a bad thing either as it tends to heighten the intrigue by just not knowing!.

Opening with the superb 'A' side, 'One More For The Road', with its stormin', solid drive, tough-talking spoken word and some help from electro-vibes and gritty samples and you're off and running in fine Pink Punk fashion. With its almost scary, dark backdrop and superb arrangements and mixing it's a solid choice for the opener. Not to be outdone in any way the two additional 'AA' sides; 'Hope (Reso Dubstep Remix)' tends more towards a repetitive groove and is slightly more chilled in its attack on the senses and 'Hope (Album Edit)' which is just as punchy but possibly less hard-hitting than the freaky 'A' side. Both are exceptionally good and very, very enjoyable works that certainly grab the attention even if, like me, it's not really your normal genre of choice.

All together, if drum & bass is close to yer heart you should perhaps take a look see at the puzzlingly strangely named Pink Punk - you'll like what you hear - I did!!
