Peter Derzbach

Demo

Play 90 second soundbite of 'Deni' @ 'CD quality'

Hungarian born Peter Derzbach's two track demo, 'Deni' and 'Song For Tom', is deceptively catchy. Initially very simplistic and sort of modern day Velvet Underground the songs slowly come to you and kinda get under your skin. Derzbach is also a member of a band called Zoe dal Marsch - he's intrigued me sufficiently here to perhaps wonder what they are doing. Could be interesting - but that's for another day perhaps!!

Derzbach's style seems to encapsulate genre from many decades that fold into each other and result in a very playable work. The songs are short and punchy with effectively contagious guitar chords and tidy rhythms. Without doubt, the choruses are where Derzbach draws you in; they get into your head and just don't go away.

Both track are great little workers; it's their simplicity that works so well. Although the instrumentation can tend to feel just a little crowded at times Derzbach holds it all together pretty well. This demo is a worker and I'm sure Peter Derzbach will generate some very positive interest through it.

Nice stuff!!
