Chilled vibes and evocative passages take the listener to wherever they want to be and perhaps that's the point with music like this; it's very much in the ear and mind of the beholder and what you get out of it will depend on how much you put in or by how far you allow yourself to be carried. Certainly Paul K's work provides soundscapes that conjure up imagery and emotion that you can plunge yourself into or simply let them flow over and around you - again, it's very much up to you to set the stage and ride on the moment! With a work like this, my comments really don't mean much at all - individual acceptance, interpretation and response to what Paul K lays down are really all that matter - I can't sway your thinking at all and I'm not gonna try!
Paul K's experimental electronic music will not be to everyone's taste and I therefore don't see it being a 'hit' in the monetary sense. But, there's still a very big market-place for this kind of music and Paul K is probably going to stand or fall by how well his promotion campaign goes. I found 'Soul Connection' by Paul K to be relaxing and absorbing - a work to smooth out the bumps of the day and allow the body and mind to heal after the day's stresses and strains. No better but certainly no worse than many similarly targeted albums I've heard over the years - 'Soul Connection' is a work to play when the mood is right; it's not something I could listen to as a routine - but it is rewarding at those suitable times.

So, for me, Paul K's 'Soul Connection' is a lush electronic outing that's good for the soul. And, if it's good for the soul it's gonna be good for the mind and body. I like the album and I like the project as a whole - time alone will tell how well it'll all turn out. If you're into mind expansion through musical suggestion then perhaps you should seek out Paul K's 'Soul Connection' and get involved with his innovative project. Cool stuff this!!
