Play 90 second soundbite of 'Take One For The Scene' @ 'CD quality'
Big guitar chords, great use of riffs and licks, tub-t'umpin drums and pile-driver bass all contrive to drive, support and energise the excellent vocal out-pourings. Pretty full-on rock is what this is!! Burstin' with energy, fat on rockin' drive, full to overflowin' on attitudinal thrust; a bloody great sound and a stonkin' good vibe! Outraze seem to have it all sorted and know exactly what to do to bring the best out of themselves; this is a crackin' good EP and a great introduction to an outfit that sound incredibly professional and totally competent.
Ok, so the Outraze sound is somewhat Oasis-esque; nowt wrong with that - at least they've got some great original songs to blast out - and believe me they really do blast out!! Turn this baby up to max and marvel at the dynamics within - Outraze have crafted the songs here beautifully and the mix and production gives a really crisp but thunderous sound. Impressive all-round or what?? Outraze sound like a really mature bunch of rockers; total unity and stunningly tight, I don't think the guys couldn't have done any better than this. Outraze just nail it, on the button, stone dead! Great work!!
'Take One For The Scene' is due to be released as a single in a couple of days (end of November 2008) and I can see no reason whatsoever why it shouldn't do extremely well if it's promoted with the same sort of commitment and professionalism that the band demonstrate here. Outraze have a big bold sound; theirs is hefty indie/rock, great moshin' stuff, radio friendly, anthemic - what more can I say? Outraze have done a bloody fine job here and truly deserve to succeed with their ballsy high-octane rock - excellent EP, massive sound, great band!!
