Sampler CD - Open 24 Hours

Play 90 second soundbite of 'Let Me Tell You' by The Meds Collective @ 'CD quality'

Hey, fifteen tracks here, fifteen artists - a sampler of bands signed to promo agency Manilla PR - some of their best it should be said!

Featuring Nephu Huzzband, Laurel Collective, Modern Clichés, Guns On The Roof, Severe Zero, History Of Guns, Diarmaid O'Meara, The Indigo Road, The Meds Collective, Marsha Swanson, Karim Fanous, Lizzyspit, The Lazarus Plot, Lana and Millimetre (sorry if I've missed anyone!), 'Open 24 Hours' gives you access to all these great bands in such a way that you can perm any one from fifteen and enjoy it individually or you can play the whole damn thing and just sit back and enjoy the ride. And, that's really what this is, a ride through contemporary indie heaven with some of the lesser known acts out there. It's a huge album with a massive presence!

The whole idea of sampler albums is not new, it's as old as the 'rock' it's born from. Thankfully, the sampler is once again becoming a popular way to get access to otherwise 'obtuse' material and artists. The system works - just take a look at what you get here - it's brilliant. You can download tracks, free, from October 8th 2008 via www.indiestore.com or, I dare say you can get the 'hard' copy in this form from Manilla PR via www.manillapr.com. However you choose to get yours, as an entire copy or individual tracks, be sure to pass the message on and help these artists get the recognition they deserve.

Manilla PR aren't alone in this kinda venture, more and more promo agencies and smaller record labels are now utilising the concept. At the moments it's Manilla PR's time and 'Open 24 Hours' is the first in what is to be an annual release. So, get downloading, get listening. Then get out and look for these bands in their own rights - there's some great bands here and Manilla PR are offering you an easy way of accessing them but, don't stop there! Listen, enjoy and then please, please venture further into the world of these fantastic artists. Crackin' stuff!
