Sensual, jazz tinged electronica is what 'Random Wondrous Things' is. Ooze feat. Tishk ooze out their sexy contemporary dance grooves with this slick little work. Four times in all they take the listener into their electronic world through gentle hypnotica and experimental grooves. And, it has to be said, four totally different experiences ensue. From the sexy and bright 'original' with its pizzicato strings and double bass driving the gentle flowing voice, through the retro electro-pop feel of the Blue States Remix, the dance-floor vibe of the Jesse Somfay Remix to the grit and grind of the pulsating Andreas Tilliander Remix, Ooze and Tishk give the listener a total aural workout to get down on.

I often baulk at the 'remix' thing because all too often the mixes aren't far enough removed from the original to make the difference. Here however, 'Random Wondrous Things' comes to you neatly packaged in four completely unique envelopes - all posted to arrive at the same address but all getting there from completely different, post boxes and arriving via 'random' trajectories. Pretty cool and pretty impressive.

Diverse maybe but, Ooze feat. Tishk will still only appeal to a specific and rather select market place. As good is this work is its customer base will remain relatively small and exclusive. 'Random Wondrous Things' will bring pleasure to those within the 'fold' but it'll remain an obscurity to the masses.
