Pretty typical of their style and absolutely typical of their signature sound, 'Let The First Time Be The Last', gets the job done in fine style. As a single it's probably one of the more commercial tracks from the album; it's a robust work that skips along apace and it gets pretty catchy - certainly the chorus will get you if nothing else does.
'Let The First Time Be The Last' demonstrates clearly the fine musicianship of Olympus Mons and once you've got into the song you'll also realise just what great songwriters these guys are too. 'Let The First Time Be The Last' isn't typically indie, it aint quite rock and it isn't typically pop - Olympus Mons defy genre limitations and simply go for it in their own sweet and inimitable way. And by God it works!!
Olympus Mons' signature sound will wear you down until you submit to its almost quirky delivery - you'll hear these guys again and you'll know exactly who they are and what they do. Olympus Mons, by sounding individualistic, get out there onto strong footing, they get a head start; they may not be to everyone's taste but I guarantee they'll pick up some new followers following the release of this excellent single.
