Play 90 second soundbite of 'By The Light' @ 'CD quality'
'By The Light' is quintessential Brit-rock; melodic and solid but containing just enough of those other, new elements to fit into the modern scheme of all things rock. Nephwrack keep it real, honest and somewhat homely without ever loosing the plot and goin' off on one! Theirs is rock for rock's sake rather than 'thrash metal', 'death metal' or any of the other numerously prefixed metal genre that're hard to define let alone understand. Yes, Nephwrack do it like yer daddy did it but with a few twists and turns along the way.
I'm not actually sure whether 'By The Light' is fresh sounding enough though. Although it's a pretty hefty lump of rock it may just be too 'safe' for the current rocksters that like to blow their minds with db-overdose and incomprehensible vocals. 'By The Light' has all the required elements inside it's chunky frame; the riffs, the fills, the hooks and the anthemic tendencies. But, it may be just too late 60's roots and not enough 00's insanity.
'By The Light' by Nephwrack will have many takers, of that I feel there's no doubt, but I don't think it's got big enough wheels to do major mileage!
