Nemo

Single - Lifespan

Play 90 second soundbite of 'Lifespan' @ 'CD quality'

Nemo's very own blend of nu-pop-punk with electro undertones is given a spacious airing on their new single, 'Lifespan'. Coming complete with two other main runner contenders in '5 Min. Heroes' and 'Truth Or Die' and a vid of 'Lifespan', this is a great value package.

'Lifespan' with it's sheer pace and big hefty riffs is a fantastic opener and 'A' side; it sounds a little like XTC have joined forces with Franz Ferdinand with aspects of Roxy Music thrown carefully in with it's retro stylee. Very commercial and very catchy 'Lifespan' has it all but that simply aint enough for Nemo. They then go and chuck in the equally impressive '5 Min. Heroes' which is another similarly buxom work showcasing this band's slick work. And, as if push their point home, there's still the urgent 'Truth Or Die' to get through - and what a stunning way to end the audio takes. Hey, then there' still the excellently shot video the drool over - value and quality all the way! And, another key element here, Nemo's excellent musicianship is matched by the superb engineering and production on this work - crisp and clear, nothing's lost or even slightly clouded - really tasty!

'Lifespan' is a brilliant piece of modern 'pop' music and this is one hell of an outfit - Nemo play with an underlying instrumental aggression and tightness that only comes with mutual understanding and solidarity. Their vocal work is slick and sweet and almost juxtaposed to the often frantic, bordering on manic (but totally controlled), playing. Nemo have a fantastic formula here that fully deserves to get out to the masses. Great band - great single!
