'Perfect Day' again finds the superbly precise and crystal clear Natalia in wonderful form; her delivery is typically smart, mature and focussed. The mix and production are both aptly spot-on and open things up nicely to give access to the lady's great voice. The 'original' mix is also noticeable for the incessant percussive piano refrain that accompanies the voice pretty much throughout the song. The piano adds depth and vibrancy to what is already an attention grabber of a single. Superbly weighted 'orchestration' brings even more warmth to Natalia's performance and adds that extra touch of panache to an already classy song.
Natalia goes on to cover all bases with a further three 'remixes' and ensure she gets exposure at most dance oriented venues. For me though, the original mix is the brightest and most commercial version here - the others certainly offer Natalia to a wider fraternity but really don't add anything that's not already there. This excellent single ends with 'I Am'; a punchy, instantly likeable track that shows another facet of this lady's all-encompassing style. 'I Am' could easily be a stand-alone 'A' side in its own right; it's a strong, up-tempo work that got a great rockin' feel - good work!!
'Perfect Day' by Natalia has everything it needs to be a biggie - it's radio-friendly nature and instantly catchy style should ensure that many questions are asked about who, what and where! Natalia strengthens her cause with 'Perfect Day' and I can see no reason why this shouldn't be a big hit!!
