Murkin

Single - Pixies In My Garden

Play 90 second soundbite of 'Pixies In My Garden' @ 'CD quality'

I always knew that behind the granite-like facade there was a bunch of pussy cats lurkin'! Brash-rock outfit Murkin have lifted the opening track, 'Pixies In My Garden', from their new album, 'Sucker Punch', and released it as a download single, the proceeds of which are going to the charity 'Reachout Now'!

Well, 'Pixies In My Garden' is about as normal as Murkin actually get; this is a fast, furious and angry sounding song driven by incessant bass and drums and big chuggin' guitar chords. The raw Murkin sound is near brutal as the five connive to become one devastating blunt musical instrument of assault. 'Pixies In My Garden' aint yer normal 'sweetness and light' type pop single either; Murkin don't do normal or pop or anything conventional for that matter - 'Pixies In My Garden' typifies the Murkin form and Murkin virgins may find their broadside onslaught just a bit too acrid but, given time, anyone can warm to anything so there's always hope!

'Pixies In My Garden' by Murkin just has to be played loud; low dbs just don't bring home the bacon here - max the fucker out to really get the true Murkin vibe - create your own mini-earthquake and shock the neighbours into submission - get Murkin out there and just let them rip - 'Pixies In My Garden' by Murkin may not get the number one but it could just rock the table a bit!
