Slick, soulful blues here from the 'family that play together'. Moontagu is essentially the Montaigue family; aged between 15 to 57, Moontagu originate from Australia but now live in Wales and have an impressive musical pedigree. 'Forever, Forever' is tasty piece of contemporary blues featuring riff laden guitars with sultry piano that sits snugly alongside and a solidly built rhythm section that holds everything tightly together.

This is mature blues, blues nurtured from hard working experience and musical knowledge born from a united family that all seem to be pulling in the same direction whilst looking for and, it has to be said, achieving the same things. 'Forever, Forever' grooves slowly along but there's always something pretty cool going on; if it's not the guitars that take 'stage front' then it the beautifully rolling piano. The vocals are suitably 'pained' with a slightly warm feel but always crystal clear. This 'family' certainly know what they're doing!

'Forever, Forever' is well crafted, expertly arranged and certainly well performed. From the way Moontagu present everything I get the distinct impression that they are all absolute perfectionists and nothing is left to chance. Moontagu have a sound that's quite distinct and well honed. If I'm disappointed about anything here it's that there's only one track to get my teeth into; appetite definitely now whetted I yearn for more from Moontagu.
