Moonshot

CD - Fear Today, Gone Tomorrow

Play 90 second soundbite of 'Counting Sheep' @ 'CD quality'

Moonshot have been around for quite some time now. They've released several albums along the way and 'Fear Today, Gone Tomorrow' is the latest in a line of classy electronic based works. And, oh boy is this classy!! At times sounding like a cross between The Happy Mondays and New Order and at other times sounding straight out of the William Orbit, classically influenced school and then the Caravan school of rock simplicity, Moonshot have just about everything and use it all here. This really is something quite stunning - dreamlike, hypnotic - a superb and sophisticated piece of work!!

Moonshot cleverly mix nursery-rhyme/lullaby like lyrics and vocals with enchanting electronic soundscapes which result in something quite magical - enchanting (there, I said it again!). Beautiful arrangements abound as smooth electronica peel off against the often haunting vocal work as subtle guitars and (programmed?) percussion bind the whole together. Words almost fail me as I listen to this remarkable release - it's blindingly good - it's complex yet simple (what!!) - it's challenging yet relaxing. Quality, quality and yet more quality!!

Moonshot's 'Fear Today, Gone Tomorrow' is absolutely stunning!!!
