Mishkin

Single - Elevate

Play 90 second soundbite of 'Elevate' @ 'CD quality'

Mishkin have their own distinctive take on modern 'popular' music; merging melodic 'rock' 'chunes' with hefty chunks of various aspects of multi-metal madness to give a surprisingly commercial sound. The lengthy single 'Elevate' fuses the elements seamlessly together to great effect and sounds like a real winner.

Without doubt, 'Elevate' is the most viable of the three songs as far as mass appreciation is concerned - the 'boys' have crafted this little beauty with such care that it'll reach out to a pretty wide audience. With many of the younger music buyers often sticking firmly to their genre of choice 'Elevate' will cause a little confusion in their ranks - is it rock or metal, is it for me, will I be true to my musical preferences if I buy this, should I go for it? Hopefully, Mishkin have been canny enough to draw in those 'fence sitters' and will rightly reap the rewards of a job well done. 'Elevate' has a massive feel and given the right exposure it should sell very well and show the more genre-specific muso's out there that you can indeed combine aspects of crunching metal with the more melodic, softer rock thang and make it work.

This demo version of the single has two more tracks that further demonstrate that Mishkin's massive sound and depth is not just a one off. More of the same then with 'Dance Of The Fireflies' and 'Bruised & Hairless'; strong, skull-smashing, melodic songs, big riffs, pounding rhythms, scorching vocals and massive appeal.

With 'Elevate' Mishkin raise the ante - they set a high standard and move the goalposts a little. A mind-blowin' concoction of melodic rock and frantic, frenetic metal - and more!
