Play 90 second soundbite of 'Up Country' @ 'CD quality'
'Up Country' is a slick pop-rocker with femme fatal Iraina Mancini laying down superb vocals against Josh's pulsating guitar and electronic workout. As commercial as hell, 'Up Country' is a classy piece of 'new-pop' that the 'charts' could well benefit from. There's nothing out there that sounds quite like Mancini; their whole approach sounds fresh and bubbly. 'Up Country' is easy on the ear and guaranteed to wear out shoe leather as you just can't stop your feet from tappin' this one out.
Maybe Garbage got close to this kinda sound for a while but now it's over to Mancini to take the helm and steer a course to success. This is great for the car so I can see radio stations picking it up and giving it some air play. Infectious as chicken pox but less scratchy, 'Up Country' is one of those songs that you'll hear once and remember it. And, just like the 'pox' you'll soon be passing it on to your friends and family. 'Up Country' by Mancini is a contagiously likeable piece of 'now' pop.
