Lounge Fly aren't musical sleaze-balls though, Lounge Fly are a fiery sounding bunch giving their unified all by way of short but punchy songs that err towards the, and I quote, '..dirtier side of pop.rock...'. Good words those, concise, to the point and pretty-much on the money! Lounge Fly deliver their seven ballsy songs with a great energy that's almost tangible. Total instrumental unity ensure a crisp and clear sound that's generally guitar driven but also allows keyboards to vie for instrumental prominence. Thumpin' bass (Gaf Franks) and intricate drums (Matt Brodie) punctuate and support the guitars (Alex Waring) and keys (Trevor Brown) and together the 'guys' allow plenty of room for their sassy sounding vocalist (Susannah Moffat) to shine out and deliver her words with total clarity.
Lounge Fly skip easily in and out of time signatures as they thrash out their powerhouse pop; songs that, although commercially short and creatively to the point often sound much longer and more far-reaching. Superb arrangements add depth and maturity to the theme as Lounge Fly blast out their outlandishly hooky songs with fire in their collective bellies and hearts on their sleeves. 'Seven Simple Sins' takes no prisoners as Lounge Fly contrive to wear you down with their incessant pounding and breathtaking energy. Quite whether Lounge Fly have found a formula that can take on all-comers I'm not really sure but, they're certainly giving it good go. Lounge Fly are as tight as a nun's... but loads more inviting and 'Seven Simple Sins' certainly makes a big statement about this adrenalin driven outfit. Generally up-tempo, generally totally rocked-up, Lounge Fly are ballsy and undeniably viable.
'Seven Simple Sins' by Lounge Fly is superbly crafted and wonderfully executed; Lounge Fly give a massively enjoyably account of themselves here and suggest that these 'dudes' are ready and up for it. Lounge Fly deliver a big beefy sound that's pretty damn commercial and scarily instant. Good promo and decent radio exposure could see Lounge Fly movin' on up to bigger and better things. 'Seven Simple Sins' is extremely impressive and Lounge Fly are totally convincing. Great work this from a massively raunchy sounding outfit - it's pop, it's rock, it's indie - it's bold and it's brazen and it's bloody good!
