Representing all that's good about 'dance' music 'Skinny' promises to be, not only a massive hit, but also a stayer and repeater. Lo-Rider press all the right buttons with this infectious foot-tapper. But, it's current success is not just about the music! YouTube has gone manic with 'hits' on the 'Skinny' video; take a look and you'll see why. So, back to the matter in hand; 'Skinny', the single, is, in itself, not going to offend too many people - it's a well written and very catchy number that's sure to be heard anywhere where there's a music machine. It has a feeling of potential longevity about it - I can well see this becoming a party classic that'll get the loungers off their seats and onto the floor for years to come. It's just got that 'friendly' and accessible feel to it.
It doesn't really matter what people like me write about 'Skinny'; the seeds have already been scattered world wide and the resultant fruits are bound to bring a hefty harvest. Lo-Rider have managed to make a dance classic that will quickly climb the genre boundary fences and break through as a pop classic.
