Play 90 second soundbite of 'Bellend Boogie' @ 'CD quality'
Having had a hefty response from his Myspace webpage Kuunta Anglais-Mouldin and his lil' ole bro' Randy churn out their somewhat zany boogie blues cum honky-tonk wares once more to the unsuspecting hoards. Zany and somewhat non pc at their time it now appears that Kuunta's mannish lyrics are now perfectly ok and are, quite rightly, getting good plays! I think you'll get the idea when you discover tracks such as 'Big Danglin' Dong' and 'Bellend Boogie' - not too 60's but definitely 00's!! After taking a dive during '69 Kuunta now proves he's a stayer after all; now, standing proud in front of his followers, he's shooting high and hard once again.
'The Big One!' is a limited edition EP brought about on the back of that recent KA-M internet success; such has been the response that the big man just had to set about the re-makes. With fun lyrics and tight instrumentation Anglais-Mouldin should see his remaining days out with more than a modicum of exposure and appreciation.
Should we take this guy seriously though? Well, why not. Like it, loathe it or simply lie back and think of England, it's a pretty cool recording when all's said and done. Methinks that the biggest problem is going to be in getting your hands on 'The Big One!'. What with it being limited and lacking proper promo and distribution it's gonna be hard!! So, will it be big? Well, and I quote KA-M, "I always dreamed it could be bigger, even way back when...now there could be a big 'nuff hole for me in this here digital age to see my time out with mebe a few cents in my sticky ole dungarees."
You can hear three tracks on Myspace, but if you want to get your hands on his real thing, you gonna have to just hope and pray that Kuunta Anglais-Mouldin can organ-ise it - in true Kuunta Anglais-Mouldin style, it'll come one day.
Kuunta Anglais-Mouldin and 'The Big One!' will bring pleasure to many, shock/horror to a few and just consternation to the rest. If you can't get a hold of 'The Big One!' you'll just have to watch its unzipping on Myspace!
