Kissing Kalina

Single - Here She Comes

Play 90 second soundbite of 'Here She Comes' @ 'CD quality'

'Here She Comes' is the debut single release from rancid pop-rocksters Kissing Kalina. This is a high octane, high energy assault on the nerve endings, a techno-pop rock-fuck, ballsy, gritty and as immediate as anything out there.

Kissing Kalina make a mighty big noise considering this is just a duo - think Hazel O'Connor meets The Velvet Underground, think pop sensibility, think rock gravitas, think punk attitude - hey, just think Kissing Kalina!! If 'Here She Comes' was a woman, she'd be a busty, buxom wench. If 'Here She Comes' was a man, he'd be a Testosterone Tom the truck drivin' man. If 'Here She Comes' was a child, it would be the bastard love-child of a black witch and Satan. However, 'Here She Comes' is just a song, just a transient moment in time, but, what a powerful and memorable moment!!

'Here She Comes' is supported here by another equally well rounded, full bodied, schizoid outing in 'Juggernaut' - as powerful and dangerous as the title suggests, it too romps along apace and carries a massive punch. Kissing Kalina seem to have found a workable pop recipe for the angular and the obtuse. Their musical ethos seems to revolve around pace, energy, punch and panache. Kissing Kalina don't sound or feel like a duo - they generate high voltage music with effortless aplomb and could easily be a four-piece. Kissing Kalina could be onto something with their energetic take on modern punk edged rockin' pop - they certainly set their standards high and then go on to achieve their target and more. Kissing Kalina are ballsy and slightly dark and 'Here She Comes' should stand this duo in good stead - excellent debut, plenty more to come yet methinks!!
