Play 90 second soundbite of 'My Love' @ 'CD quality'
Singing with total control and immaculate precision and clarity, Naim uses his silky vocal chords to squeeze out maximum emotion but never lets that precision detract from the overall feel of the song. Beautifully mixed, the 'orchestral' backdrop and Gospel edged backing vocals enhance rather that clutter the piece; Naim's stunning voice always takes pride of place.
'My Love' by Joe Naim is one of those timeless songs that will be around for ages and I can well see it becoming a 'first waltz' song at wedding receptions etc. - it has that quality - as I listen I can see the groom pouring his heart out gently and lovingly to his new wife as they take to the floor, her sobbing, also lovingly, but smiling, happy and wanted - fulfilled.
Is 'My Love' a pop song? Well, in today's musical theatre of war I don't really think so. I do see 'My Love' by Joe Naim becoming a real favourite on the more mature radio scene, one for the connoisseur rather than the popster!
There's no doubting Joe Naim's vocal abilities here; this guy's a bit special and will do well in whatever branch of musical entertainment he gets himself into. One for the ladies methinks!!
