Play 90 second soundbite of 'ITSU-210 (original mix)' @ 'CD quality'
Drum and bass sits well psychedelic experimentation and techno riffs and with no less than seven mixes to try out here there's a good chance the party animals out there will find something that's right up their street here.
There's no doubt that Jaberwok know what they're doing here; as a recorded work there's not much, if anything, to fault. The music has good depth and variation and Jaberwok keep it sounding very 'real'. Jaberwok seem pretty true to their dream; their 'hands-on' techno dance music appears to have everything it should have - and more! If Jaberwok can replicate this kinda stuff in the live scenario they're half way there. My one worry is that in trying to create the sort of electro-dance/ambience that Jaberwok seem to be striving for, they've gotta be careful not to over-tech their music; they've gotta hold onto things such that they can 'produce' the goods on-stage without losing that human 'feel'.
'ITSU-210' by Jaberwok is an enterprising single and has a good warm feeling to it - Jaberwok inject a distinct richness into the infectious vibe, all the required elements seem to be their and Jaberwok sound ready and able to move things on now. Even if their dream is not fulfilled, I can see Jaberwok's 'ITSU-210' doing very nicely within the club scene.
