Play 90 second soundbite of 'Disguise' @ 'CD quality'
- big sound, catchy melody and chorus, epic feel, anthemic tendencies, you name it and I think you'll find 'Disguise' has it!!
'Disguise' has amazing commercial viability, the time is right, the sound is right, the world awaits!! London four-piece Ivyrise have built this song superbly. Of course it all stems from good writing but, Ivyrise have given the song an excellent going over in the studio to add depth, instant appeal and tons of pop sensibility. Just like the already established aforementioned bands, Ivyrise will appeal to popsters, indies and rocksters alike - such is the enormous size of Ivyrise's catchment net.
Ivyrise, with 'Disguise', show that they're ready and waiting for the big time to happen for them - 'Disguise' is everything it should be, everything it needs to be and everything you'd want it to be.
If I have any criticism at all with the single it's that I don't get why Ivyrise have included a 'remix' danced-up version of 'Disguise' rather than a totally different song. Ok, it's clever I suppose but 'Disguise' is just fine as it is - if it aint broke, don't fix it!! Two totally different songs would surely tell any takers more about Ivyrise than any remix could!! Seems to be the modern way though - I just don't get it at all!!
'Disguise' by Ivyrise has all the potential to be a big song chartwise. Ivyrise show depth in strength, from writing right through to production they've absolutely nailed it! 'Disguise' by Ivyrise is right up there with the Snow Patrol's and the Keane's - 'kin' great song from an equally 'kin' great band!!
