Play 90 second soundbite of 'I Got Held Up...' @ 'CD quality'
There's a great feel to the two songs on offer here - a genuine sounding, pacey and powerful outing with guitars ripping through the rhythm sections and vocals resulting in a very full-on sound. Influx write and play with an infectious naivety that grabs the listener and takes him/her on a wild, if short, tour through their world of blazin', totally now, music.
'I got Held Up....' is a cool, commercial piece absolutely burstin' with raw energy. Influx seem to have their craft positively nailed if this track is anything to go by. They follow it with 'When It Got Light' which doesn't take any prisoners either. Perhaps slightly less raunchy but still kickin' ass it romps along nicely although probably not as polished sounding as the main track.
With 'I Got Held Up...', Influx have let rip big style. They are obviously very accomplished and competent and write a mean score too. All-in-all, a damn good work that's sure to get a lot of plays and win new friends.
