'Meds' is a clever 'worker'; it sort of creeps up on you and before you know what's happening you're under its spell and trapped in its magnetic core. 'Meds' doesn't come out screamin' at you though - oh no, like a slow-release drug it's subtle and it's slowly intoxicating and infectious - it gets inside you without you really knowing and it's only then that you start to feel its warmth glowing from inside and you realise that you've been sucked in by its hidden hypnotic nuances and rich rhythmic charm.
'Meds' is sexy, 'Meds' is persuasive, 'Meds' is addictive. 'Meds' by Hoover Manoeuvres is a superb piece of contemporary ambient dance music with big 'pop' tendencies; more subtle than most, more inspired than most, more enjoyable than most - a work that can be enjoyed equally well in the club scenario or home-alone. 'Meds' is cool yet 'Meds' is hot! Tasty work and just a bit different to the 'dance' norm.
